John Lennon’s Liverpool & Yoko Ono’s Tokyo: Mind Games (The Ultimate Collection)
Commissioned by the Lennon Estate for inclusion in the release of Mind Games (The Ultimate Collection) super deluxe boxset. The boxset has been described as “a time capsule into John and Yoko’s world around the writing and recording of Mind Games, including the times leading up to and after its release in 1973”. John Lennon’s Liverpool
2024
A 46-inch square gamified map containing 550 individually numbered locations, highlighted in ultra-violet ink. The map is folded in a wallet with accompanying booklet that details all the historical stories behind the individual locations in John Lennon’s Liverpool.
The artwork is a digital drawing crosshatched over high resolution scans of historical Ordnance Survey maps. The overall map is a composite consisting of 9 individual high scale maps, edited and assembled by Viola Timoncini.
In addition to being a part of the Mind Games super deluxe boxset, this artwork with accompanying booklet is retailed through the John Lennon store.
Yoko Ono’s Tokyo
2024
A 46-inch square gamified map containing 167 individually numbered locations, highlighted in ultra-violet ink. The map is folded in a wallet with accompanying booklet that details all the historical stories behind the individual locations in Yoko Ono’s Tokyo.
The artwork is a digital drawing crosshatched over a high resolution scan of a historical map of Tokyo, edited by Viola Timoncini.
In addition to being a part of the Mind Games super deluxe boxset, this artwork with accompanying booklet is retailed through the John Lennon store.

A Game of the Mind: The Liverpool Treasure Hunt – 6 July 2024
The gamified Liverpool map accompanies a special upcoming event. From JohnLennon.com:
“On 6th July, 2024, to celebrate the upcoming release of Mind Games (The Ultimate Collection), Universal Music Group and The John Lennon Estate invite fans to come to Liverpool and take part in a Treasure Hunt across John Lennon’s Liverpool.
The Treasure Hunt is a fun, family-friendly day which will give fans a unique experience in John’s home town, beginning at 9am on 6th July at Liverpool Town Hall (High Street, Liverpool L2 3SW).
Using the unique map of JOHN LENNON’S LIVERPOOL created by fine artist Ed Fairburn, locations (to be revealed on the day) across the city with a special relationship to John will have hidden QR codes, to be scanned by fans using their phone camera.
Maps will be available at Liverpool Town Hall from 9am on the day.

Everyone who takes part in this event will get a chance to win a prize depending on how many locations they capture – and the first person to scan the QR codes at every location will win the grand prize of a Super Deluxe MIND GAMES (The Ultimate Collection) Box Set worth £1,350.
